Whisper Labs is actively seeking research partnerships with academic institutions, independent researchers, and research organizations. This guide explains our partnership process and what we look for in collaborators.

Types of Partnerships

We offer several partnership models to accommodate different research needs and institutional arrangements.

Formal Research Agreements

Multi-year partnerships with universities for sustained collaborative research. These typically include funding, data access, student internship opportunities, and joint publication rights.

Project-Based Collaborations

Shorter-term collaborations focused on specific research questions or projects. These offer flexibility and can be structured around grant timelines or academic calendars.

Data Access Programs

For qualified researchers, we provide access to anonymized threat intelligence data for academic research purposes. This includes DNS data, malware samples, and threat intelligence feeds.

Research Priority Areas

We're particularly interested in partnerships focused on threat intelligence automation, DNS and network security, malware analysis and detection, security metrics and measurements, AI/ML for cybersecurity, and privacy-preserving threat intelligence.

Application Process

To propose a partnership, submit a brief research proposal (2-3 pages) including research objectives, proposed methodology, expected outcomes and timeline, required resources and data, and team qualifications. Our team typically responds within 2-3 weeks with feedback or next steps.

What We Provide

Partners gain access to real-world threat intelligence data, technical expertise and mentorship from our research team, funding for approved research projects, opportunities for student internships, and support for conference publications and presentations.
